Overview
The Year Over Year Report lets you compare any metric across multiple years on a single line chart. It is one of the best ways to visualize long-term trends, measure growth, and identify seasonal patterns in your business.
Accessing the Report
- Log in to your ClarityNOW portal
- Click Reports in the left sidebar
- Select Year Over Year
Choosing a Metric
Use the metric dropdown to select what you want to compare. There are 17 available metrics split into two categories:
Transaction Metrics
- Sales — Closed transactions
- New Pending — Deals that went under contract (by contract date)
- Listings Signed — New listing agreements signed
- Listings Sold — Listings that closed escrow
- Buyers Sold — Buyer-side closed transactions
For transaction metrics, you can toggle between three column types:
- Units — Number of transactions
- Volume — Total dollar volume
- GCI — Gross commission income

- Hours Lead Generated
- Dials Made
- Contacts Made
- Listing Appointments Set
- Listing Appointments Held
- Listing Nurtures
- Buyer Appointments Set
- Buyer Appointments Held
- Buyers Signed
- Buyer Nurtures
- Price Corrections
- Offers Written
Activity metrics display in Units only.
Reading the Chart
- The X-axis shows months (Jan–Dec)
- The Y-axis auto-scales based on your data
- Each line represents a different year, color-coded for easy comparison
- Hover over any point to see the exact value for that month and year
- Use the legend below the chart to toggle individual years on or off
How to Use This Report
- Spot seasonal trends — See which months consistently perform best and plan your activities accordingly
- Measure growth — Compare this year's line against prior years to confirm your business is trending upward
- Set realistic goals — Use historical data to set achievable monthly targets based on actual past performance
- Evaluate changes — If you changed lead sources, marketing spend, or team structure, see how the numbers responded year over year
- Prepare for coaching — Bring year-over-year comparisons to 1:1s to show agents their progression
